CACRC refurbishes some of the equipment that we receive comes into our various programs and recycles the rest using qualified vendors in the country under our R2 RIOS certification. CACRC is one of the first non-profits in the country to become R2 RIOS certified, and was incorporated as a non-profit in 1997. Located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, CACRC also picks up electronic materials throughout the Gulf Coast Region and hosts community e-recycling events. CACRC reuses and recycles over 1,500 tons of electronic discards annually from government agencies, businesses, and individuals. As a licensed Microsoft Registered Refurbisher (MRR), CACRC manages community programs (Computers for Louisiana Families) selling at a discount to Seniors, Veterans, and other non-profits, schools, and low income families. These computers are loaded with the latest software and carry a one year warranty. Additionally, under the MRR agreement, CACRC spearheaded a national hurricane relief effort following Hurricane Katrina and donated over 3,500 computers. CACRC has received annual DEQ Environmental Leadership Awards.

Nancy Jo Craig, Executive Director
Nancy Jo received her BA in Biology from the University of Colorado, her Masters of Science in Public Health from the University of North Carolina, and her Masters in Public Administration from the Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. Nancy Jo was the non-profit representative on the R2 Technical Advisory Board, which helped set the standards for R2 and international certification for electronic recycling. She sits on numerous local and national Boards and is a published poet. In 2013 she was awarded the Lifetime of Achievement Award at the International Computers Refurbishers Conference
Shannon Fish Fertitta, Assistant Director
Shannon is a native of Port Allen, La and has been with the CACRC since 2002. While pursuing her degree in Education, a job with a small computer recycler opened up and the rest is history - her career path changed to E-Recycling! As a key member of the CACRC Management team, Shannon leads the sales efforts of CACRC both on EBAY and in our store front and oversees all Human Resources activities. She is an active school volunteer, advocate for green, Girl Scout Leader, and major animal lover. She and her husband Jake have 3 children.
