The
CACRC joins efforts with local non-profits and schools to help communities in need. We partner with the Baton Rouge Area Foundation and Saint Joseph's Academy to provide schools in Vera Cruz, Mexico with much needed technological resources. Our goal for this program in 2006-07 is 400 computer systems.
The Louisiana Association for Nonprofits (LANO) and the CACRC also joined forces to supply the Louisiana Rural Capacity Project nonprofits with 45 computers and monitors. The Louisiana Rural Capacity Project is a network of sustainable faith-based and community organizations that provide social services for Louisiana's neediest citizens.
The CACRC also works closely with LATAN to supply computer systems to their disabled clients. After Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, the CACRC donated hundreds of computers to non-profits impacted by the storms.
